Kaamos Lodge

Kaamos Lodge is located at the top of Aavasaksa in Tornedalen, overlooking the river landscape that is considered one of Finland's national landscapes. The lodge opened in December 2025 and is the Swedish operator Explore the North's first facility in Finland – a landscape hotel built to blend into the mountainside.

Here you can stay in one of 80 cabins inspired by the Sámi goathies, each with its own sauna. The main building has a bar, lounge, spa, and a restaurant with a terrace overlooking the valley, where the menu is based on Lapland's local ingredients. Just around the corner are cross-country ski trails and snowshoe paths in winter, and hiking and cycling when the snow has melted.

Kaamos Lodge is perfect for a nature-close weekend in Lapland – and is only a short distance from the Swedish border at Övertorneå.
