Amerikalinjen

Amerikalinjen is located at Jernbanetorget in the heart of Oslo, in the neo-baroque building from 1919 that once served as the headquarters for Den Norske Amerikalinje. From here, thousands of Norwegians traveled across the Atlantic to America, and today the hotel celebrates that era with original staircases, high ceilings, and details from the shipping company's history.

The hotel has 122 rooms and suites and several restaurants and bars: Atlas Brasserie, the award-winning cocktail bar Pier 42, and the jazz club Gustav in the basement, named after the founder of the shipping company and inspired by New York's jazz scene.
