Hattvika Lodge

Hattvika Lodge is located in the fishing village of Ballstad on Vestvågøy, right in the heart of Lofoten and surrounded by steep mountains with Vestfjorden just outside the window. The fishermen's cabins date back to the late 1800s and have been inhabited by fishermen during the legendary Lofoten fishery for generations. Today, they have been carefully renovated with modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, and fully equipped kitchens.

In addition to the classic rorbuer, Hattvika Hillside offers standalone hotel rooms high up on the slope with large panoramic windows overlooking the sea and mountains. The restaurant FANGST has its own dock for the day's catch and serves tasting menus featuring ingredients from the sea and the area around Ballstad. After a day in the mountains, a sauna and hot tub await.

Hattvika is perfect for an active and nature-oriented weekend in Lofoten: guided mountain tours and summit tours on skis, sea kayaking, fishing, and northern lights hunting – followed by a delicious dinner in the evening. Leknes Airport is about a quarter of an hour's drive away.
