Ruths Hotel

Ruths Hotel is located in the idyllic Gammel Skagen at the top of Jutland, amidst sand dunes, sea, and forest and the famous yellow houses. The hotel was founded in 1904 by Emma and Hans Christian Ruth as a small bathing pension and has since become one of Denmark's most classic beach hotel addresses.

The rooms, suites, and apartments are spread across several buildings and were renovated in 2021 while preserving the beach hotel feel. In Ruths Wellness, there is a therapy pool, sauna, steam bath, and a wide range of treatments, and it is only about 200 meters down to the beach – with paths for walking, running, and cycling into the forest.

The food is a big part of the experience: at Ruths Brasserie, French-Nordic cuisine is served, and the gourmet restaurant Okê received Skagen's very first Michelin star in the Michelin Guide 2026.
